Welcoming Cromwell Place to the Exhibition Road Cultural Group
We are delighted to welcome, international arts hub and membership organisation Cromwell Place, who join Discover South Kensington, an initiative of the Exhibition Road Cultural Group. Our partnership consists of 22 leading cultural and educational organisations in South Kensington, London’s arts and science district.
Cromwell Place is a membership organisation providing a first-of-its-kind exhibition, working and event space for arts professionals. Designed in 1858 by Sir Charles James Freake, Cromwell Place is comprised of five Grade II listed Georgian townhouses, located in the heart of South Kensington’s Museum district.
Following an extensive refurbishment, the organisation offers a year-round programme of exhibitions across 15 gallery spaces, along with Member benefits including viewing rooms, workspaces, meeting rooms, art storage and a Club Room. With creativity and collaboration at its core, Cromwell Place is home to some of the world’s most exciting galleries, collectors, dealers and advisors, with specialties ranging from Antiquities and Old Masters through to the Emerging and Contemporary. Cromwell Place also offers Honorary Membership to not-for-profit art organisations. Open to the public from Wednesday through Saturday 10am – 6pm and 10am - 4pm on Sundays.
Speaking of Cromwell Place joining the group, Craig Hassall, Co-Chair Exhibition Road Cultural Group, CEO Royal Albert Hall says:
“The Exhibition Road Cultural Group is delighted to welcome Cromwell Place to our partnership of leading arts and science organisations, in London’s original cultural district. Cromwell Place is a great addition to the area, creating a space for creative people to come together and share work, ideas and inspiration.”
Elizabeth Dellert, Cromwell Place’s Membership and Business Development Director says:
“We are pleased to join this important organisation that shares our mission of promoting creativity. The Exhibition Road Cultural Group champions pioneering innovation and learning in art for the benefit of society, which is an ideal we hold close here at Cromwell Place, where we have Members working across genres, geographies and specialisms, all collaborating across our spaces.”
