This week the London Design Festival is in full swing across South Kensington and in the V&A with a range of thought-provoking contemporary installations, workshops and events.
There is a stunning line-up of new exhibitions opening their doors over the coming weeks including Science Fiction: Voyage to the Edge of Imagination – the Science Museum’s most ambitious exhibition its ever staged – opens on 6th October.
Delve into the dreamlike world of Surrealism and design with Objects of Desire: Surrealism and Design 1924 – Today at the Design Museum from 14th October.
Opening this Saturday, Hallyu! The Korean Wave at the V&A, showcases the colourful and dynamic popular culture of South Korea.
Plus many more awe-inspiring events and exhibitions across South Kensington!

Following an exciting summer of culture in the borough it’s now your turn to host an event which celebrates the arts and culture in your borough. Whether it’s showcasing your local community, sharing a part of your culture with the public, or bringing art to your street, now’s the time to prepare for the autumn round of Kensington and Chelsea’s Arts Grants Scheme reopening on Wednesday 12 October.
Grants of up to £3,000 can be awarded for any arts-based project, event, activity or installation in the borough. Find out more by visiting the council’s website. |
