Celebrating the first satellite launch from UK soil with a replica rocket on Exhibition Road
Join us on 15th & 16th October for a free event in Exhibition Road hosted by the UK Space Agency to mark the first satellite launch from UK soil. You can explore a 72ft life-size replica rocket and discover more about space science with free hands-on activities from the UK Space Agency, Spaceport Cornwall, Virgin Orbit the Science Museum, Imperial College London & the Natural History Museum.
We also have some great exhibitions opening this month – from exploring the world’s best nature photography at the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, embark on an immersive, genre-defying visit at the Science Museum’s Science Fiction: Voyage to the Edge of Imagination, delve into the dreamlike world of surrealism with the Design Museum’s new exhibition – Objects of Desire: Surrealism and Design 1924 – Today or follow the colourful and popular culture of South Korea at the V&A's Hallyu! The Korean Wave.
