It's almost Half term and South Ken is filled with fun events, workshops, exhibitions and films to shake off those winter blues! From exploring brand new exhibitions, delving into a design workshop, getting on hands-on at an animal show and so much more- there's always something to entertain the family here in South Ken.

With Valentine’s day coming around fast, here's some inspiration with a list of all the perfect things to do with your spouse or friends this February 14th. Cozy up for a movie night at Institut français, or perhaps you’re looking to do something more extravagant this year like discovering the breath-taking talent of Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall… Either way, we have you covered!

Head over to South Ken during half term for a fun-filled week of events, workshops, exhibitions and films. From discovering the weird world of ASMR, delving into a design workshop or getting on hands-on at an animal show- there's something to fire up everyone's creativity!

Donatello: Sculpting the Renaissance

Tai Chi at the Museum

Jurassic Encounters: Animal Show

Delve into the Jurassic and meet the modern-day relatives of the animals that lived alongside Dippy in this fantastic animal handling show. Meet incredible creatures, including snakes, lizards and tarantulas, and learn more about them in this 45-minute, ethical experience.

Make Your Own Biomaterial Embellishments (18-26 years)

Create your own recipes to make a range of colourways, textures and thicknesses for biomaterial embellishments to take home. Taking inspiration from the V&A’s collections, design and apply biomaterial embellishments using applique and embroidery.

Women in the Parks: Protest and Power

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Royal Parks will be giving a special guided walk of Hyde Park. From queens to pickpockets, petticoat duellists to protesters, this historical walk will explore the hidden stories of women in the park from its inception to date.

Join the V&A for this creative families workshop created by Seoul-based digital and design studio, Commoners. Get inspired by the Hallyu! The Korean Wave exhibition, K-Pop and Korean TV as you use your creative skills to design a traditional Korean mask, called Tal-nori or Tal.

I Want My Hat Back Trilogy

Following their hit digital series, lockdown sensations Ian Nicholson and Sam Wilde are back with more of their trademark cardboard design. Jon Klassen’s beloved books, I Want My Hat Back, This is Not My Hat and We Found a Hat, will be performed live in the Royal Albert Hall!
